Museo Nacional de Anthropologia

Parque Zoologica de Chapultepec

All families love parks and when you plan your family vacations to Mexico, your children are going to love seeing the Parque Zoologica de Chaultepec. Torre Latinoamericana (Latin American Tower)

Of all the things to do in Mexico City, this attraction allows you to climb to new heights! Take a ride up the Torre Latinoamericano, the first skyscraper built in Mexico City. Indoors is an observation deck and restaurant with paramount views and children love the aquarium on the 38th floor.

Zocalo

The historical zone in Mexico City is bursting with things to do and see. At sundown, watch the large Mexican flag being ceremonially lowered from flag pole and don’t forget to take in the sights of the Catedral Metropolitana, the largest cathedral in Latin America. At the Palacio Nacional, another must-see Mexico City attraction, gaze at the historical murals by Diego Rivera.

Templo Mayor

On family vacations to Mexico City, the Templo Mayor with its ruins of the Great Temple of the Aztecs is a must on your list. The Templo Mayor originally had two shrines up top, one for Huitzilopochitli, the god of sun and war, and another for Tlaloc, the god of rain. The Museo del Templo Mayor has ten rooms full of artifacts from the ruins, including skull masks and stone "face blades" used in sacrifices.

Museo de la Ciudad de Mexico

This Mexico City attraction covers the history of Mexico, from the pre-Hispanic, all the way through the colonial era and the 19th and 20th centuries. Exquisite models of Tenochitlan are on display as well as reproductions of Aztec maps and books.
